In the Rostock waterworks, drinking water is treated from river water. As adsorption and as biological stage after ozonation wnine open activated carbon filter chambers each with 124 m activated carbon operated. It is a peat-based, stoebchenfoermige, extruded activated carbon. The extrusion diameter is 0.8 mm. Primary targets of reactivation are a narrow sieving line and an iodine value greater than 800 mg / g. Every year, in the months of March and April, 3 chambers are reactivated every weekcovers the thermal reactivation of loaded grain activated carbon from drinking water treatment plants. Specifically, the following performances are required:
1) discharge of loaded grain activated carbons from an open filter chamber (124m),
2) transport logistics,
3) thermal reactivation of loaded grain activated carbon,
4) supply and blending with makeup charcoal to compensate of reactivation losses,

Reactivations (performances according to points 1 5) are carried out individually per filter chamber.
For the input and output Discharge is a hydraulic discharge system available. The rinse water is set and excess water can be taken back.

Minimum standards possibly required:
The annual turnover must be the same as the simple one annual contract value.
