As part of the project to rehabilitate the Coyah-Forecariah road, UNDP has received funding from the African Development Bank to implement the sub-component related to "Multifunctional Platforms (PTFM) and empowerment of women in Coyah and Forcariah Prefectures". . In this context, technical and economic analyzes were donefor the installation of "hybrid" PTFM units in8 villages. These are 6 hybrid solar-diesel units, 1 biogas-diesel unit, and 1 hydro-electric-diesel unit (or hydro-electricity is provided by the national grid) .Next to these analyzes, it is planned to move forward with the installation of a first batch of units in the five (05) villages of Lahanfiyaya, Herico, Yeliban, Yenguiakhory and Tatagui.The launching of a call for tenders for the various elements (structures, equipment, services, etc.) has become indispensable for the start of the project.
