Start of Congo. Dear Madam, Dear Sir, The Democratic Republic of Congo repeatedly faces epidemics, leading to the organization of numerous response and catch-up vaccination campaigns each year. These interventions, combined with routine vaccination activities, cause the use of a very large volume of vaccine vials and, consequently, the production of a considerable quantity of vaccine waste. The implementation of these campaigns generates an accumulation significant waste at the Lubumbashi Logistics Hub, the main entry point for vaccines in the country. The management of this waste constitutes a major challenge, both at the level of this Hub and in the different delivery service points. vaccination across the country.
