General Procurement Notice for Construction of a Women's Market in Chinguetti

Construction Work on the Attar - Chinguetti Road (80km)
The Asphalt Road will be 80km Long and will Include 2 Lanes with a Width of 6m and 2 Shoulders of 1.5m Each.

The Government of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania received funding of 27.66 Million Euro in the form of Islamic financing - Sharia compliant, Financing No.: MRT 1032 from the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) for financing project for the construction of the Atar-Chinguity road and intends to use part of this financing to make payments for the acquisition of goods, works and consultancy services necessary within the framework of the project.



This project has the following main objectives :

Improve the efficiency and safety of transport services between Atar and Chinguetti
Improve access of the populations concerned to various socio-economic services in the region.


The project has the following components:



- Works section:

Construction work on the Attar - Chinguetti road (80km)
The asphalt road will be 80km long and will include 2 lanes with a width of 6m and 2 shoulders of 1.5m each.

Additional work
Rehabilitation of a school in Chinguetti
Construction of a women's market in Chinguetti
Construction of 2 health centers in Legrare and Amder
Construction of a kindergarten in Chinguetti.


Procurement method: International call for tenders after pre-qualification of companies from IsDB Member Countries.

Goods component: Acquisition of equipment for road maintenance
