Tenders are invited for Construction of the Water Supply System on the Island of Santiago
Brief description of the works to be procured

Lot 1 - WTPs and Intakes (Design, Supply, Install and Tests on Completion)

(i) Design of two Water Treatment Plants (WTPs or also DPs) using Reverse

Osmosis filtration of seawater, with capacities of 20, 000 m3/day each, in

Palmarejo (Praia) in the South System and Calhetona (São Miguel) in the

North System;
(ii) Based on the design mentioned in the previous section, construction of one

Water Treatment Plant (WTP) using Reverse Osmosis (RO) filtration of

seawater, with production capacity of 15, 000 m3

/day at Palmarejo (Praia)

and construction of intake well field and associated water conveyance

mains, with pumping capacities of 50, 000 m3

/day at Palmarejo WTP. This

WTP shall be constructed to be extendable to 20, 000 m3

/day in the future.

(iii) Based on the design mentioned in the previous section, construction of one

Water Treatment Plant using RO filtration of seawater, with production

capacity of 10, 000 m3

/day at Calhetona (São Miguel) and construction of

intake wells field and associated water conveyance mains, with pumping

capacities of 50, 000 m3

/day at Calhetona WTP. This WTP shall be

constructed to be extendable to 20, 000 m3

/day in the future.
