Tenders are invited for Construction and Equipment of Two Regional "B" Hospitals in Thala and Dahmani.

The Republic of Tunisia has obtained a sum of 27.34 million euros from the Islamic Development Bank in the form of Temperament Sale for an amount of 19.30 million euros and a loan for an amount of 8.04 million euros for finance the Construction and Equipment of two regional "B" type hospitals in Thala Kasserine governorate and Dahmani Kef governorate.

Project Objectives :
The objective of the project is the strengthening of the health system through preventive and curative development while reducing regional disparities and improving access to specialized health services in Thala and Dahmani and surrounding areas and reduce medical evacuations from these two cities to referral hospitals.

The project will comprise the following components :
- the construction of 02 regional hospitals of type "B" (105 beds) with an area of ??11785 m2 in Thala and 11076 m2 in Dahmani (including civil engineering and electromechanical works and other infrastructures related).
- the supply of medical equipment, furniture, ambulance and computer equipment for the 02 hospitals.

The acquisitions of Goods and Works will be made in accordance with the Procurement Guidelines financed by the Islamic Development Bank (May 2009 edition revised in February 2012). The consultancy contracts were awarded in accordance with the Tunisian Regulatory Guidelines.

Goods Markets :
The procurement of medical equipment will be carried out through international competitive bidding. Procurement of non-medical equipment and supplies will be done through national competitive bidding.

Works Markets :
Procurement of civil and electromechanical works will be done by international competitive bidding open to the member countries of the Islamic Development Bank.

Selection of Consultants :
The Consulting Services were chosen following an architectural idea competition and consortium of consulting engineers according to Tunisian regulations.
