The objective of the consultation is tobetter support stakeholders in the process of implementing carbon pricingtools, in particular through training, capacity building and the development ofcarbon pilot projects.Specifically, this will involve:- Inform on national andinternational mechanisms relating to GHG emissions, mitigation policiesincluding the NDC and national mitigation policies- Ensure a better understandingof the carbon tax process, its role and the implications to be expected;- Facilitate a betterunderstanding of the carbon market process and the development of eligibleprojects;- Create a critical mass ofexperts in the field of MRV and carbon pricing tools;- Train stakeholders on thebasic principles concerning the validation and verification of carbon projects.- Strengthen Senegal-s carbonproject portfolio;- Familiarize project leadersand private sector stakeholders with the key elements of a detailed carbonproject document.
