Acquisition of kitchen utensils for the school canteen, aiming to increase access to food for pre-school and primary school children. 1. BackgroundThe school canteen in São Tomé and Príncipe is integrated into a broader national system called the National School Food and Health Program (PNASE), which constitutes one of the main public policies to support education, nutrition and social protection of children in the country. As part of strengthening the conditions of the educational environment, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sciences and Teaching, with the support of its partners, intends to acquire equipment aimed at improving the conditions of care for children in 20 kindergartens, through the reinforcement of school canteens. improve the conditions for preparing and distributing school meals, contributing to a safe, healthy food environment suited to the needs of children.
