Description
THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND NOT A COMPETITIVE REQUEST FOR QUOTE. The National Park Service, Intermountain Region, Northern Rockies Major Acquisition Buying Office, intends to issue a Sole Source award for Fire, EMS, and Limited Rescue services for the West Entrance of Yellowstone National Park (YELL) to Gallatin County, Montana¿s Hebgen Fire District.Service Provider will respond to and perform the following emergency operations in the service area:¿ Reports of smoke or other possible signs of fire in a structure, near a roadway, or developed area, alarm system activation for possible smoke, heat, or sprinkler activity in a structure, or report of other hazard(s) which normally require investigation by properly trained and equipped fire personnel.¿ Initial attack, search & rescue, and sustained fire suppression operations in structure fires including preservation of property, overhaul, and salvage operations, and initial ¿cause and origin¿ investigation.¿ Initial attack, rescue and sustained fire suppression operations for vehicle, trailer, and equipment fires including preservation of property, containment and minor mitigation of hazardous liquid spillage or firefighting foam, overhaul and initial ¿cause and origin¿ investigation.¿ Initial attack, exposure protection and holding operations for wildland fires along the roadside or immediately adjacent to structures or parking areas.¿ Investigation, isolation, containment, and minor mitigation actions for hazardous material incidents.¿ Search and rescue of persons injured or trapped in confined spaces.¿ Extrication, fire protection, rescue, triage, treatment, and transport of patients at vehicle¿ collisions, or other transportation accidents immediately adjacent to roadways or developed areas.¿ Emergency medical incidents not in remote backcountry locations, and the triage, assessment, treatment, and transport of persons to an appropriate medical facility.
