Description : The Province-s Employee Safety Office (ESO) provides Work Alone Monitoring Program for Departments and Public Organizations, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The ESO-s Work Alone Monitoring Program provides an enhanced level of safety support for staff who travel, by continuously monitoring in real time an employee-s whereabouts via Global Positioning Systems (GPS) or cellular network (via mobile device or laptop). In addition, the ESO-s Work Alone Monitoring Program is accessed by lone workers who perform duties in a wide range of occupations including staff whose workplaces are at a fixed location. Currently, more than 6, 000 lone workers access this service each year. The Province requires a Work Alone Monitoring Solution, as the contract for the current solution is slated to expire.
