The municipality of Maashorst was created on January 1, 2022 through a merger of the former municipalities of Landerd and Uden. The municipalities of Landerd and Uden have each concluded contracts in the past regarding door-to-door waste collection. The municipality of Maashorst wants to conclude one contract as of January 1, 2025for door-to-door collection for the entire municipality. Where door-to-door waste is collected in the same manner throughout the municipality. The municipality is responsible for collecting household waste. This is laid down in the Environmental Management Act. Each municipality can decide for itself howi collect waste. The reasons why this obligation is included include environmental protection, health aspects and promotion of recycling and reuse. The municipality of Maashorst would like to contract one party that will implement it efficiently and at market ratesn the collection of residual waste, PBD and GFT E. The goal for the whole of the Netherlands is to be completely circular by 2050. The VANG (From Waste to Raw Material) Household Waste program has been developed for this purpose. The collector to be contracted is asked how they expect this to be achievedcontribution.
The agreement consists of the collection of three household waste flows:
Residual waste
GFT E (vegetables, fruit, garden waste and food scraps)
PBD (plastic packaging, cans and drinking cartons)
