Upgrade and rehabilitation of the Malmedy wastewater treatment plant (compliance with European obligations) The upgrade and rehabilitation of the Malmedy wastewater treatment plant (compliance with European obligations) is an exclusive work file included in the SPGE's 2022-2027 sanitation program as well as its 2025 priority project program. It is part of the sanitation of the Amblève sub-watershed. This contract only provides for work strictly necessary for the works to comply with the obligations of directives 91/271/EEC and 2024/3019 relating to the treatment of urban waste water. This work mainly includes the construction of a new biological treatment line by activated sludge at low load. As a reminder, the Malmedy Wastewater Treatment Plant treats urban wastewater coming from the town of Malmedy, for an equivalent load of 25, 000 inhabitants.
