Tender are invited for Expansion of the pumped hydro-electric storage in the Snowy Hydro Scheme, also known as Snowy 2.0. If built, Snowy 2.0 would increase the generation capacity of the iconic Snowy Scheme by up to 50 per cent, making up to 2000 megawatts available to the National Electricity Market.
Notes : 11/17/17 - Update : Upgrade work is set to begin at Snowy Hydro`s Guthega station, with Andritz Hydro designing and replacing a generator unit at the multi-powerhouse complex`s oldest facility. The Feasibility Study is currently under way and due for completion in December 2017. BID DATE NOT YET ESTABLISHED. PLEASE NOTE THIS INFORMATION IS INCOMPLETE AND IS FOR GENERAL PURPOSES ONLY.
