Tender Details

Transportation and Supply of 1, 000, 000 Moringa (Drumstick) Plants
Tenderer should have ability to supply 1, 000, 000 plants or minimum 200, 000 plants and should

comply the following qualifications.

(i) Should have been registered as a seed manufacturer under the Seed Act and shall be valid for the

year 2022.

(ii) A seedling should be kept in a container of size 5”x 6”.

(iii) At the time of supply more than 06 weeks have elapsed for a plant.

(iv) The seedling has been pruned twice and it can be confirmed during the nursery inspection.

(v) Should be a well grown healthy plump plant with a minimum height of 12”.

(vi) The seedling has hardened for the last 10 days.

(vii) The selected supplier shall submit performance security valid at 5% of total amount.

(viii) Should be transported and handed over to the relevant Divisional Secretariats in Ampara District

within 14 days after placing the order by the selected supplier.

(ix) Seed nursery should have been started at the time of bidding.
Procurement documents can be obtained at the Accounts Branch of this office from 09.02.2022 to

22.02.2022 from 09.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. on working days, by issuing the slip for the payments of non-

refundable tender fee of Rs. 12, 500.00 deposited under the name of Government Agent, Ampara with

the request letter for the tender documents.

Bidder should submit bid security of 1 % of the value of the number of plants intended to be supplied

for refundable bid security amount valid until 23.06.2022.

Tenders will be opened on 24.02.2022 at 10.30 a.m. at the Chief Accountant's Room of this office.

Sealed tender documents can be submitted until 10.00 a.m. on or before 24.02.2022 by registered post

to District Secretary, Ampara or can be put directly into the tender box kept at Accounts Branch of this

office and on the left corner of the sealed tender cover, it is important to mention as “Transportation

and supply of 1, 000, 000 Moringa (Drumstick) Plants”.

Bidder or an authorized person of the bidder can be summoned at the opening of tender and should

produce the National Identity Card/Valid Passport/Valid Driving License to verify his or her name at

any time of opening tender.

Bids should be valid until 23.05.2022 and the final Decision of tender is up to the procurement

committee.
