Synopsis: SaskEnergy delivers safe, reliable and affordable natural gas to homes, businesses and industry throughout Saskatchewan. Our 71, 000-kilometre distribution system serves 93% of Saskatchewan communities and nearly 400, 000 customers. A commitment to safety is a core value of the Company; we are always committed to our personal safety, the safety of our team and the public. SaskEnergy will be issuing a Request for Proposal for the manufacture and supply of personal protective clothing intended for the use in the natural gas industry. Items will be ordered on an “as required” basis. In order to accommodate the various working conditions of our employees and the corresponding safety risks, the Company requires a range of personal protection garments. High visibility fire resistant protective clothing are required for SaskEnergy personnel in compliance with the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Z96-15 standard. This includes instances where employees are working in the vicinity of vehicular traffic. “Personal Protective Clothing” refers to protective clothing or other garments designed to protect the wearer-s body from injury by electrical hazards, heat and chemicals, for job-related occupational safety and health purposes.
