The basis for the processing of the project was the inspection and focus of the damaged forest haulage road, during which it was concluded that it is necessary to ensure the improvement of the conditions of wood transport, environmental protection and plans for the care of the surrounding forest covery. The economic tasks are high and the resulting traffic load of approx. 10, 000 m3 per year during the removal of wood, when the old asphalt surface of the road and tracks will continue to be damaged by soil erosion in the forest warehouses. The drainage facilities have been damaged by forest disasters and floods from the pastia, the ground body of the road and forest removal places. The route lacks U-turns, reinforced stops at forest warehouses, switchbacks, road extensions in directional curves and exits to forest stands with farm culverts. The asphalt surface is damaged by running water, mosaic and frostcracks, depressions, deformation and subsidence of the abrasive layer and plane at the location of the tracks. The concrete fronts and railings are damaged on the old crossings.
The investor decided to solve the listed shortcomings of access conceptually by reconstructing the forest access road and protecting it from soil erosion. The location of the road is strategic for the investor and is designed in such a way that, while complying with the required technical parameters, it will intercept as many forest stands as possible with approach roads, which in the event of a fire, it will be possible to reach and use effective fire-fighting ground technology, including...
