Tender are invited for TENDER NOTICE TO ALL AGENTS AND SUPPLIERS TENDER FOR THE SUPPLY OF RAW (BROWN) CANE SUGAR TO THE GOVERNMENT OF SAINT LUCIA The Government of Saint Lucia through the Ministry of Commerce, International Trade, Investment, Enterprise Development and Consumer Affairs is inviting tenders for the supply of Raw (Brown) Cane Sugar, for the period October 2020 to September 2021. 1. Product Description Brown sugar shall be partially purified sucrose, which is crystallized from partially purified cane juice, without further purification, but which does not preclude centrifugation or drying and which is characterized by sucrose crystals covered with a film of cane molasses. 2. QUANTITY Four thousand (4, 000) metric tons or a part thereof, to be shipped over a twelve (12) month period, in quantities to be agreed between the contracting parties. 3. QUALITY The Brown Sugar shall be in keeping with the Saint Lucia s Specifications for Brown Sugar in accordance with SLNS 123:2014. 4. The finished product shall not contain lumps larger than 1.27 cm (0.5 inches) in their greatest diameter that cannot be broken on light finger pressure, and must be fit for direct human consumption. 3. Sugar shall be graded in accordance with international specifications. 5. LABELLING Must be properly labelled in the English Language in accordance with the Saint Lucia Standards Specification for the Labelling of Commodities. a. Each shipment should be accompanied by a Certificate of Compliance. 2. A Certificate of Product test results in conformity with the specifications stipulated in the tender notice must be submitted annually. 3.
