Tender Details

The Environmental Chemistry Lab (ECL), operating under the Climate and Atmosphere Research Center (CARE-C) of the Cyprus Institute, is already equipped with two analytical balances of tolerance 0.001 and 0.01 mg, respectively, for several purposes, such as preparation of standards and dilution of chemical solutions, among others. However, lack of an analytical balance of much lower readability to accurately conduct gravimetric analyses of particulate matter (PM) in aerosol filters is a drawback that is planned to be addressed, particularly in cases of low volume of aerosol filters, where PM adsorbed onto the filter paper is of very low quantity. In the framework of several projects, ECL is coordinated to perform multiple PM chemical analyses and prepare all the sampling material needed for these analyses. An accurate gravimetric analysis, following ISO protocols is also one of the deliverables.
