Tenders are invited for Supply of Electrical Substation Equipment, Transmission Line, and Sub-Transmission Line Materials for Chan Chen and Belcogen Substations.
BEL now invites sealed bids from eligible vendors for the Supply of Electrical Substation Equipment, Transmission Line, and Sub-transmission Line materials for Chan Chen and Belcogen Substations in the following lots:
A. Lot 1 - Steel Structures;
A. Lot 2 - Cable and Conductors;
A. Lot 3 - Bus Fittings;
A. Lot 4 - Anchors;
A. Lot 5 - Grounding Connectors;
A. Lot 6 - Wooden Poles;
A. Lot 7 - Cross Arms;
A. Lot 8 - Fasteners;
A. Lot 9 - Line Materials;
A. Lot 10 - Cable Tray;
A. Lot 11 - Control Cables;
A. Lot 12 - Insulators and Arresters;
A. Lot 13 - Galvanized Cribs;
A. Lot 14 - Fiberglass Grating;
A. Lot 15 - Perimeter Lighting;
A. Lot 16 - Enclosures and Panels; and
A. Lot 17 - Controls and Terminals.
Tenderers can bid for at least one complete lot, any combination of or all the lots.
Consideration will be limited to firms or joint ventures of firms which are legally incorporated or otherwise organised in, and have their principal place of business in an eligible country and are either:
(a) more than 50% beneficially-owned by citizen or citizens and/or bona fide resident or residents of an eligible country or by a body corporate or bodies corporate meeting these requirements; or
(b) owned or controlled by the government of an eligible country provided that it is legally and financially autonomous and operated under the commercial law of an eligible country and otherwise meets the eligibility requirements of the CDB Guidelines for Procurement (2006).
Eligible countries are Member Countries of CDB.
Eligible bidders will be required to submit full qualification information with their bids establishing their eligibility to bid and qualification to perform the contract if the bid is accepted. Tender and qualification information are to be submitted in the English Language on the prescribed forms inserted in the Bid Documents. Submissions that do not provide the information required or that do not demonstrate the prospective contractor-s ability to perform satisfactorily, will not qualify and will not be considered for further evaluation.
Interested eligible firms may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents by contacting the office of BEL at the first address below between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m., local time, Monday through Friday until April 12, 2017. A complete set of the bidding documents (electronic copy) may be obtained on the submission of a written application, accompanied by a non-refundable fee of one hundred United States dollars (USD 100), to the office of BEL, at the first address below. Payment should be by wire transfer or bank draft made payable to: Belize Electricity Limited. Information to pay by wire transfer can be obtained from first address below. Proof of payment is required before bidding documents are issued.
One original and three hard copies of each submission must be received at the second address below no later than 3:00 p.m. local time on Wednesday, April 26, 2016. The sealed envelope containing each submission should include the name and address of the applicant and shall be clearly marked -
