Tender Details

Tenders are invited for Supply and Delivery of Two Electric Buses and Two Electric Vehicle Charging Units.

1. This Imitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in Development Business, issue no. EDB1616-10/14 of 9 October 2014.

2. The Government of Barbados has received funding from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the European Union (EU) towards the cost of the Public Sector Smart Energy Program and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this financing to eligible payments under the Contract to supply and deliver two electric buses and two electric vehicle charging units.

3. The Ministry of Energy and Water Resources now invites sealed Bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the Supply and Delivery of Two Electric Buses and Two Electric Vehicle Charging Units. The delivery period is estimated to be no more than twelve months (12) months for the buses and three months for the charging units.

4. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the Inter-American Development Bank s Policies for the Procurement of Works and Goods financed by the Inter-American Development Bank GN-2349-9, and is open to all bidders from Eligible Countries under IDB and EU Policies.

5. The successful Bidder will be required to enter into a contract drafted by or in a form approved by the Solicitor General or other legal officer of the Public Service approved by her. A surety for the due performance of the contract will be required by one of the methods listed below"

• By way of a deposit with the Treasury of a sum of money or approved securities to the value of not less than ten percent of the contract price; or

• By way of a Bank or accredited Insurance Company whose liability' shall be not less than ten percent of the contract price.

6. Eligible bidders may obtain the Bidding Documents and any further information from the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources at Address (1) below- between the hours of 9:00 am. to 4:00 p.m. Monday to Friday (except on public holiday s).
