Description
The NIDDK would like to examine the effects of acute metreleptin treatment on metabolism in patients with lipodystrophy. The approach involves measurement, identification, and quantification of over 1, 100 different types of molecules quickly and accurately. This requires a chemical library accompanied by computer software to account for it. The library is generated by analyzing chemical standards on multiple UPLC/MS/MS and GC/MS platforms and cataloging all of the ions that are produced. Metabolon is a world leader in the field of metabolomics by pioneering and patenting the industry s leading biochemical biomarker discovery and profiling platform. It has developed the technology to quickly identify and measure the biochemicals in a biological sample through its proprietary global processing method.
