Description : Pre-employment background checking of candidates is particularly important to prevent legal, operational or reputational risks that may result from recruiting the wrong candidate; and is a complement to the usual selection tools in order to reinforce predictability of future performance of new hires. In April 2018, pre-employment background checks were extended to all new EIB Group hires, irrespective of their grade (support, executive or managerial). The EIB Group performs also verification spot checks on staff already hired.
