Speed variator for the PF1 unit (motor and frequency converter) The EPFL Hydraulic Machines Technology Platform (PTMH) wishes to acquire, as a turnkey solution, the modernization of the variable speed electric drive of the main supply pump of its test bench (PF1 group). The scope includes the supply, installation and commissioning of a new three-phase alternating current motor of approximately 900 kW and its low-voltage frequency converter associated, replacing the existing direct current drive, as well as all mechanical and electrical interfaces with the existing installation. The equipment will be used for metrological level hydraulic performance tests (IEC 60193); the emphasis is on long-term reliability, availability of after-sales service, low harmonic distortion on the grid side, energy harvesting capability (four quadrants) and integration with the control and acquisition system of the platform.
