Tenders are invited for Solutions to reinforce the indoor mobile telephony signal within the Vienna International Centre.
DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENTS

United Nations Office at Vienna is seeking information and potential solutions on how to reinforce the indoor

mobile telephony signal within the Vienna International Centre (VIC).

The VIC is a building with thick walls. Security window film have been installed on all windows. These type

of walls and security window film cause considerable attenuation to the radio signal coming from outdoor

macro network, resulting in a weak indoor coverage of the mobile networks. The interior structure of the

building does not facilitate the propagation of the radio signal as there are long and narrow corridors, with

many offices, increasing the number of compartments and walls that contribute to attenuate the radio signal.

Over 5000 staff are working within the VIC. This figure can be doubled with visitors and delegates.

Approximately 30-35% of staff have corporate phones, which number is expected to increase. Many staff

have at least one private phone with different providers.

To address above mentioned business requirements; vendors are invited to propose potential technological

solutions; including but not only limited to introduction of 5G platform and private distributed antenna system
