2. The Nauru Utilities Corporation (NUC) (“the Employer”) invites sealed bids from eligible
Bidders for the design, installation and commissioning of:
• a 6 MW (nominal installed AC capacity) Solar Farm;
• a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) with a capacity of 2.5 MWh / 5 MW; and
• an 11 kV Substation, including all switchgear, power transformers and connection to the
existing NUC 11 kV distribution system.

• Participation as a contractor, JV partner, or subcontractor, in at least two (2) contracts
that have been successfully or substantially completed within the last five (5) years and
that are similar to the proposed works, where the value of the Bidder-s participation
under each contract exceeds USD 14 million. The similarity of the Bidder-s participation
shall be based on the physical size, nature of works, complexity, methods, technology,
or other characteristics as described in Section 6 (Employer-s Requirements);
• Minimum experience in the following key activities:
o Design, procurement and installation of solar panels and BESS on a utility scale of
at least 5MW on a single project
o Integration of master controller for a hybrid power system
o Design, procurement and installation of a substation of 11 kV / 5 MVA or similar for
a utility
