Description : The United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG), based within the Palais des Nations provides conference support and facilitates the multi-lateral international diplomacy and support the various UN Departments, Offices, Funds and Programmes based at the Palais and in Geneva. UNOG is currently implementing the Strategic Heritage Plan (SHP) which is modernizing and transforming the UNOG and wishes to evaluate proposals for software solutions capable of supporting incoming mail delivery business operations. Within the Division of Administration's Central Services Section (CSS), the Logistics Sub-unit (DoA/CSS/LSU), provides all physical mail delivery within UNOG and also provides diplomatic pouch services for all United Nations Organizations based in Geneva. Curently, the LSU utilizes two software packages to support business operations relating to the management of incoming and outgoing mail and pouch service. For the most part, these applications have performed dependably and reliably for decades however, with increased concerns of the operationally sustainability of the technology used and security vulnerabilities, there has been a motivation to create a new secure and integrated system that allows for greater flexibility, increase in operational efficiency and ease of use.
