The purpose of this Feasibility Study is to prepare a preliminary infrastructure plan and business case for the Sauble Park Tourism Hub.Saugeen First Nation is located in an opportune area for tourists with the very popular Saugeen Beach (formerly Sauble Beach) located near by. The First Nation wishes to leverage this high tourism activity and explore business / commercial opportunities, activities, and events that generate economic benefits for the community and enhances programming for members and seasonal residents.The location for the Sauble Park Tourism Hub is near the corner of Charles St. and Bruce Road 13. The Feasibility Study will include a geotech investigation of the site, topographic survey, and archaeology assessment. The Consultant will present a conceptual site plan that demonstrates feasibility of the Tourism Hub, including identification of site constraints affecting building placement, site layout, site servicing, proposed activities / programs, and drawings / sketches.The business case portion should include demonstrate the economic viability of the Tourism Hub by estimating capital and operating costs, finanical benefits to the community and our members through employment and business opportunities, and identify partnership opportunities with businesses and Indigenous organizations within Bruce County and surrounding areas.
