Tender Details

The main objectives of this assignment are to conduct a diagnostic of road safety leadership and the regulatory framework in Bolivia, and to develop and implement a capacity-building program in road safety engineering and the trucking sector. These tasks will result in a series of technical reports for the World Bank team, including a road safety leadership and regulatory framework diagnostic report of the Government-s capacity, a framework and guidelines for road works safety for World Bank-financed project works, along with dissemination activities.The activities envisaged will help inform World Bank projects and will directly support the Road Sector Climate Resilience Program SOP-1 (RSCRP, P180770) through (a) road safety engineering capacity-building efforts, which, in the short term, can significantly benefit the physical interventions and feasibility studies of the project; and (b) capacity building of the trucking sector, including the promotion of safe practices and behaviors among contractors in the project.
