Novel and Cross Domain Uncrewed Systems
PURPOSEThis Request for Solutions (RFS) is issued to address the need Naval Surface Warfare Centers (NSWC) Crane has in seeking for novel air and maritime Uncrewed Systems (UXS) to perform in an UXS test and demonstration event in September 2024 in the Pacific Northwest. All respondents will need to possess a Security Clearance of Secret to participate. The Government will evaluate the solutions with the intent of awarding multiple Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs) in accordance with 10 U.S. Code § 4022.
BACKGROUND AND SUMMARY EMC2 Vendors interested in responding to this RFS must be members of the Expeditionary Missions Consortium - Crane (EMC2) consortium. Interested parties may visit emccrane.org for membership information. This project will be managed by a Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division Project Manager.
PROJECT OVERVIEW NSWC - Crane is seeking novel air and maritime UXS to perform in a test and demonstration event in September 2024 in the Pacific Northwest. UXS are now a constant factor in warfare, and lessons learned from current events have shown that current UXS have a critical place in warfighting in all domains with constant expanding roles and missions. Near-peer adversary nations are rapidly incorporating robust UXS capabilities into their military formations, and non-state actors are using multi-domain UXS to increase their asymmetric advantage.
