UNDP Vietnam is seeking for national firm to conduct soil assessments of planned mangrove planting and regeneration sites as well as participating shrimp-based aquaculture facilities in the five provinces Nam ??nh, Thanh Ha, Qu?ng Nam, Qu?ng Ngi and C Mau. The estimated area to be planted and regenerated with mangrove forests in those provinces in 2019 is approximately 1, 380 ha. The objectives of this assignment include: • Assess the risk of encountering hazardous acidic sulfate soils (ASS) below planned mangrove planting sites and within aquaculture facilities with planned embankment construction activities before the commencement of any excavations;• Measure and analyses soil nutrients within soils of selected planned mangrove planting sites and existing mangrove areas to detect risks of nutrient deficiency or over-enrichment;• Assess and monitor the sediment load of completed aquaculture facilities into surrounding existing or planned mangrove areas and• Provide a report on all findings and give recommendations on mitigating any detected risks relating to ASS, nutrients or sediment loads.The selection will be based on a competitive basis and will comply with UNDP procurement regulations.Interested bidders are invited to submit Technical and Financial proposals as required in RFP to:Nguyen Thuy NgaProcurement Executive, Climate change and Environment UnitUNDP Viet Nam304 Kim Ma, Ha Noi, Viet NamTel: ( 84 4) 3850 0100Direct: ( 84 4) 3850 1831Email: nguyen.thuy.nga@undp.orgwith notification by email (without attachment) to: procurement.vn@undp.org that the bidder has submitted proposal.UNDP will not be responsible for the missing of proposal if the bidder does not send notification email to above address.Deadline for submission: On or before 28 July 2019 (Hanoi time)
