Tenders are invited for Provision of Sms Premium Rate Services. TERMS OF REFERENCE The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) wish to engage services of a well established and experienced service provider for Short Messaging Service (SMS) Premium rate services. The SMS premium services platform enables candidates and interested parties to confirm examination results from KNEC. The contract will run for a period of one year from the date of contract award. TERMS OF REFERENCE 1.0 Obligations of KNEC in regard to this service contract shall be: 1.1 Provide timely and correct information to be disseminated to subscribers 1.2 Provide instructions and format of relaying the information to subscribers 1.3 Invoice the service provider at end of every month based on network operator statements and number of SMS hits, which the service provider will ensure are available to KNEC in time 2.0 Obligations of the Service provider 2.1 Acquire short codes from network operators which should be assigned for use by KNEC only. 2.2 Host KNEC data and make the data accessible to subscribers through SMS in compliance with the contract terms 2.3 Market the service 2.4 Invoice and collect revenue from the network operators 2.5 Remit the KNEC revenue share as stipulated in the contract disaggregated as per examination, month and operator. 2.6 Provide KNEC with monthly statement from the network operators 2.7 Provide KNEC with records of number of SMS hits, within five days after the end of every month. 2.8 Ensure security and confidentiality of the KNEC data.
