Using MOD owned virtual battle space 3, this software is to be integrated into a Defence Virtual Simulator (DVS) training solution. This is a driving console modelled on the Pacific 24 (PAC24) RHIB, delivered to Royal Navy Reserves sites.

Abstract: The RNR require Defence Virtual Simulation (DVS) for small boat coxswain training. The training solution requires a driving console based on the Pacific 24 Mk4 Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat (RHIB) as used by the RN. This console will be integrated into DVS to allow a trainee to practice boat driving at each of the RNR units across the country.Expected use of these DVS trainers is around 10 hours per week with a requirement for 15 x static trainer consoles and 5 x mobile trainer consoles.Contract to start as soon as possible with delivery to first RNR Unit by 31.1.2020 and last by 15.3.2020. Support/maintenance contract to start from first delivery and continue for 5 years with an option to continue for a further 5 years to be paid annually.
