Description : UNAKRT seeks an Expression of Interest from vendors for the provision of Khmer to Englsih Translation Services. Brief Scope of Services: 1. The United Nations Assistance to the Khmer Rouge Trials (hereinafter referred to as "UNAKRT" ), on behalf of the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (hereinafter referred to as "ECCC") located at National Road 4, Chaom Chau, Dangkao, Phnom Penh, Cambodia is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to provide translation services from Khmer into English. UNAKRT provides assistance to the ECCC which consists of the following: the Chambers, comprising the Pre-Trial and Trial Chambers and a Supreme Court; the Office of the Co-Prosecutors; the Office of the Co-Investigating Judges; the Office of Administration, which provides services to all of the above and to Defence Counsel and the Civil Parties; The working languages of the ECCC are Khmer, English and French. The Interpretation and Translation Unit (ITU) is part of the Office of Administration and is responsible for translation and interpretation services.
