public services and procurement canada has a requirement on behalf of transport canada to replace and upgrade the electronic propulsion control system onboard the mv holiday island in accordance with the associated technical specification detailed in the statement of work and applicable annexes and appendices.
work location: caribou, nova scotia
work dates: vessel will be available from 01 jan 2017 30 april 2017
site viewing and bidders conference: the vessel will be available for viewing during transit on thursday, november 17th. Bidders are to meet at the caribou, ns, ferry terminal at 0900 am for a 0930 departure. Bidders will tour and inspect the work site with technical authorities during transit to wood island, pei. A bidders conference will be held with pwgsc and transport canada authorities on the return trip from 11:15 12:30. Potential bidders are to contact the contracting authority to confirm attendance prior to 15 nov.

The sourcing strategy relating to this procurement will be limited to suppliers in the area of origin (eastern canada) of the vessel in accordance with the shipbuilding and repair procurement policy.
This requirement is subject to the provisions of the agreement on internal trade (ait).
