Name: Disaster Vulnerability Reduction Project This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Projectthat appeared in Development Business, issueno. on August 4, 2014.Saint Lucia has received a Credit from the World Bank towards the cost ofDisaster Vulnerability Reduction Projectand intends to apply part of the funds to cover eligible payments under the Contract for Procurement of Furniture forthe Ministryof Education. Bidding is open to allbidders from eligible source countries as defined in the Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDACredits u0026 Grants. 1. Ministry ofEducation, Human Resource Development and Labour of St Lucia now invites sealed bids fromeligible bidders for the Procurement ofFurniture for the Ministry ofEducation: The delivery period is 12-18 weeks. 2. Bidding will be conducted throughtheInternational Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the World Bank''''s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits andGrants, dated January 2011, and is open to all eligible bidders asdefined in the guidelines. 3. Post Qualifications requirementsinclude:(a) Financial CapabilityThe Bidder shall furnish documentary evidence that it meets the following financial requirement(s):Minimum average annual turnover of US$300, 000.00 for the past three (3)years(b) Experience and Technical Capacityi. Bidder must have experience in the field of manufacturing andor supply of goods similar to the goods in the bid for a period of at least three years prior to the deadline for bid submission.If the bidder is a Joint Venture (JV), the member in chargeshould meet these requirements. ii.
The Bidders shall submit reference lists for not less thanone (1) successfully completed similarcontract during the last three (3) years, for supply of school furniture at the amount of notless than US$130, 000 equivalent. iii. If the bidder is a Joint Venture (JV), all members should jointly meet all qualification requirements and the memberin charge should have at least one successfully completed similar contract during the last threeyears. More details about all requirements related to the Evaluation andQualification criteria are specified in the Section III of the Bidding Documents and information on the Supply Requirements arespecified in Section VI of the Bidding Documents. 4. A complete set of the Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interestedbidders on the submission of a written Application to the Project Coordination Unit, Ministry of Planning and National Development, 5th floor Conway Business Centre, Waterfront, Castries, Saint Lucia, and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee ofEastern Caribbeantwo hundred dollars(XCD200.00). The method of payment will be by certified cheque, or Bank transfer to Bank of Saint Lucia(Account # 901367740, Swift

Interested bidders may inspect the Bidding Documents and obtain further information atthe address below(*) from December 23, 2014, from 0900 hours (9:00am) to 1500 hours (3:00 pm) daily from Monday toFriday. 6. Bids shall bedelivered to the address below (**) on orbefore February 25, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. and shall be valid for a period of 105 days after bid submission. Latebidswill be rejected.
