This international bidding notice was announced under the General Procurement notice advertised for this project published in Development Business Online, edition IDB807-05/14 of 30-May-2014.
The Republic of Suriname has received financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments under the project Support to Improve Sustainability of the Electricity Service, for Procurement of Design Tool Application and related Services.

The EBS now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the delivery of electrical materials. The delivery period for the items is 6 months.
Bidding will be conducted through International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures as specified in the InterAmerican Development Bank-s Policies for Procurement of Works and Goods financed by the Inter-American Development Bank GN 2349-9 (current edition), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the policies.
Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the EBS and request an electronic copy of the bidding documents from the Program Executing Unit (PEU), on the submission of a written application to idb.projects@ebs.sr. The documents will thereafter be sent electronically. Clarifications to bidding documents may be requested up to ultimately 21 days prior to the deadline for submission of bids.
All bids including bid security must be delivered to the address below by 12:00 PM (GMT 15:00) on Friday 20 th of March 2020. Electronic bidding shall not be permitted. The bids will be opened by 12:05 PM (GMT 15:05) on Friday 20th of March 2020, in the presence of bidders- representatives, who choose to attend, at the
address below. Late bids will be rejected. A Bid Security will not be required.
