United Nations Office at Nairobi (hereinafter referred to as UNON) on behalf of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-HABITAT) Kenya invites qualified interested and qualified firms to submit Expressions of Interest (EOI) to participate in the upcoming consultancy solicitation for the Preparation of Muhoroni Town Local Physical and Landuse Development Plan (LPLDP) in Kisumu County (Muhoroni Township).The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) is mandated by the UN General Assembly to promote socially and environmentally sustainable towns and cities and is the focal point for all urbanization and human settlement matters within the UN system. UN-Habitat works with partners in over 90 countries to build inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable cities and communities through knowledge, policy advice, technical assistance and collaborative action and to promote urbanization for a positive transformative change. A three-tier governance structure made up of the UN-Habitat Assembly, the Executive Board and the Committee of Permanent Representatives oversees UN-Habitat's work and provides an effective oversight mechanism for UN-Habitat to enhance its normative and operational activities.
