Roztoky u Prahy represents a typical small-town agglomeration intensively fighting for its character as a small, quiet and green town with increasing pressure from the developer community for large-scale urban housing construction while minimizing the costs of the accompanying infrastructure. However, the housing market is doing well so far urban-type development cannot be regulated, population growth and increasing pressure on all possible modes of transport can be completely stopped. Objectively, the city has about 10, 000 inhabitants and 56 km of roads of all classes and types. The maximum number of inhabitants based on all related development plans should be 12, 000 approx. until 2035. The majority of the economically active population commutes to work in the capital. The town is located on the Děčin railway line with one station and one stop. 3 suburban bus lines pass through the city, two of which have a terminus here.
