Summary Details:
Island Health's Mental Health and Substance Use Services ("MHSU") is seeking proposals to provide peer supports to five (5) acute care inpatient units within the Royal Jubilee Hospital campus ("RJH Campus") in Victoria. The peer supports will be imbedded within existing MHSU inpatient care teams and will provide peer and team-based supports to patients admitted to the following five (5) units on the RJH Campus: Psychiatric Emergency Services ("PES"), General Psychiatry (2NE), Schizophrenia Unit (2NW), Mood Disorders (1S) and the Sub-Acute Unit in Eric Martin Pavilion (5B).
The successful Proponent will have experience in providing peer-delivered mental health and substance use services and will value client-centred, recovery based, harm reduction mental health and substance use focused services. The Successful Proponent will have demonstrated the ability to work closely with Island Health clinicians in a multidisciplinary team-based environment.
