Organization, network, locally registered organization,
academic institute, or private registered entity. For a strategic
partnership National and/ county government.

Program Focus Areas Should contribute to our Vision 2030 which sets out a new direction for CARE in Kenya, reinforcing our commitment to
locally led and gender-transformative work, but with a bold shift in mindset that embraces an enterprising approach and climate smart actions that clearly point to a transformational future.
Underpinned by three inter-related program pillars: Gender Equality and Women-s Empowerment (GEWE), Food, Water and Nutrition Security (FWNS) and Humanitarian and Emergency Response

Location Partners that have strong access and presence to geographies, communities, and local governments where CARE Kenya has ongoing operational presence or shifting its geographical presence: Turkana, Samburu, Wajir, Mandera, Tana River, Kilifi, Mombasa, Taita Taveta, Marsabit, Kajiado, Garissa, Kwale, Machakos, Nakuru, Nyandarua, Siaya, Kisumu, Homa Bay, Kitui and Nairobi

Legitimacy and Reputation Partners that are well regarded well among other actors and have strong commitment to accountability

Capacity Partners that have good capacities in areas where CARE Kenya seeks more expertise. Potential to also work at scale and secure
sustainability.

Innovation Partners with opportunities for creativity and innovation. e.g. testing new approaches

Humanitarian Strategy/ Response
Partners who have articulated humanitarian ambition in
their plan and/or have experience in humanitarian response
programming.
