Request for proposals are invited for Operation of a Franchise Consisting of 10 Routes in Portmore (17, 17A, 1, 1A, 3, ??, 20, 20A, 18 and 18A)
Jamaica Urban Transit Company Limited (JUTC) in an effort to efficiently and effectively meet the demands of the daily commuters, invites bidders to submit proposals for the operation of a franchise consisting of 10 routes in Portmore (17, 17A, 1, 1A, 3, ??, 20, 20A, 18and18A).

To effectively cover the routes to be franchised. your proposal should factor for a total of 100 buses. Said buses should be as follows:

• 50 Electric Vehicles (EV)"

• 50 LNG/CNG"

"All Buses are to be equipped with the Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) which can provide data analytics when requested. Of the 100 total, twenty (20). should be Articulated Electric Vehicles (EV) and eighty (80) 55-seater coach style or low floor to be included in the mix to facilitate the transporting of large number of commuters at any given time.

The initial duration of the franchise will be for three (3) years. However, there will be a ten (10) year renewable contract subsequent to the successful completion of the initial three (3) years.

A monthly franchise fee payment of JMD 200, 000.00 will be required for each route. Timeframe for Implementation should be on or before October 31, 2019.

NOTE TO BIDDERS: JUTC. Ministry of Transport and Mining (MTM) and International Transport Authority rules and regulations will apply.

The JUTC invites you to respond to the request for Proposal (RFP) which will be available for download via the electronic portal (www.gojep.gov.jm) by August 7, 2019.

Bidders must be registered on the Government ol Jamaica Electronic Procurement System at www.gojep.gov.jm. To register, please select the "register as a supplier" link trom the system's home page.

• Proposals must be submitted online via www.gojep.gov.jm by August 28, 2019.

• An online bid opening will take place on August 28, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.
