IntroductionnuCARIBU is an upgrade to the existing CAlifornium Rare Isotope Breeder Upgrade (CARIBU) radioactive ion beam (RIB) facility. nuCARIBU will integrate neutron induced fission of actinide foils as the RIB production mechanism into the existing collection and separation equipment.
