The City of Calgary is looking for qualified proponents to perform various condition assessment-related tasks for the potable water transmission and distribution mains on an as-needed basis. The intention of this RFSO is to select multiple companies suitable for each task based on capabilities, qualifications, experience and references. Multiple projects will be awarded under this RFSO including pipe watermain research, condition assessment and leak detection capital programs. Data collected through the programs will be used to identify pipe condition defects, structural integrity and leakage locations, make capital investment decisions, prioritize maintenance and repair task forces, and proactively address failure locations that may result in service failures that would have been costly to address on a reactionary basis.This RFSO has four (4) categories representing the different forms of services required. Proponents may bid on all or only those categories they wish to pursue. The categories are as follows:Category A Condition AssessmentCategory B Monitoring of Pre-Stressed Concrete PipeCategory C Leak Detection Equipment / ServicesCategory D Risk Profiling of Concrete Pressure Pipe C301 and C303Proponents may apply for one or more specialized Categories.
