UNICEF works in some of the world-s toughest places, to reach the world-s most disadvantaged children. To save their lives. To defend their rights. To help them fulfill their potential.

Across 190 countries and territories, we work for every child, everywhere, every day, to build a better world for everyone.

And we never give up.

Background:

UNICEF together with other UN agencies (ILO, FAO, WFP and UNISDR) implements an ECHO-funded project “Strengthening capacity of ASEAN Member States (AMSs) to design and implement risk informed and shock responsive social protection” with focused work in selected AMSs including Cambodia, Myanmar, Philippines and Viet Nam. The project aims to support ASEAN Member States to improve the availability of policy and operational options for AMS to strengthen shock-responsiveness of social protection systems including reference to: (i) design options, (ii) financing and (iii) scale-up triggers. · Work with the IC and UNICEF Myanmar Country Office to prepare for the Workshop that aims at reaching consensus on the selection of 1-2 SP programmes, technical approach and work plan to develop operational and design options to scale up these programmes;
