1. Purpose
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Pittsburgh District, is conducting market research to identify small business concerns that are interested in and capable of performing the requirement described below.
This Sources Sought Notice is for market research and acquisition planning purposes only. It is not a solicitation, Request for Quotation (RFQ), or Request for Proposal (RFP), and no contract will be awarded as a result of this notice.
The information received will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition strategy, including whether the requirement should be set aside for small business concerns.
2. Requirement Description
The Government anticipates a requirement to engineer, design, fabricate, test, and deliver sixteen (16) replacement motor control panels for the following USACE Pittsburgh District facilities:
Hildebrand Lock and Dam - 6 EA
Morgantown Lock and Dam - 6 EA
Opekiska Lock and Dam - 4 EA
The new panels shall replace the existing motor control panels in kind, operate identically to the existing systems, and integrate with existing wiring and remote gate-control systems.
The requirement includes field verification at all three facilities, engineering and design, preparation of electrical schematics and panel layouts, component selection, fabrication, factory acceptance testing, documentation, and delivery.
