The United Nations Assistance to the Khmer Rouge Trials (UNAKRT) has been established to assist the Cambodian authorities in bringing to trial, senior leaders of Democratic Kampuchea and those most responsible for crimes and serious violations of Cambodian penal law. UNAKRT staff members work and live in Phnom Penh and throughout Cambodia. Cambodia is recognized within the UN system as a country with inadequate medical facilities. Hence, certain cases requiring medical care or treatment, including initial aid for newly diagnosed disabilities, may necessitate travel outside Cambodia to the nearest pre-identified hospital or medical facility.UNAKRT has 35 staff members and eligible dependents, which will fluctuate over time. 54% are under 30. All are equally covered by the medical evacuation services. UNAKRT has separate medical insurance for staff.We are looking for capable contractors who offer the following, for the period from 1 April 2024 to 31 Dec 2024 (21 months): Planning and coordination of both emergency and non-emergency medical evacuations Support, medical and related, is available 24 by 7.
