Market Consultation: Automated Dispensing System-Cabinets Medicines Description:The hospital pharmacy of Amsterdam UMC, with branches at the AMC location and the VUMC location, has invested heavily in digitalization, automation, and process optimization. For example, various robot solutions have been implemented for the storage, distribution and dispensing of medicines at patient level. Although there is now an accurate picture of the stocks of medicines in the central pharmacy, this is lacking in the other steps within the logistics process, including goods receipt and decentralized department stocks. To further optimize medicine logistics in the nursing wards and gain real-time insight into the complete medicine flow; from receipt, storage and preparation to distribution to departments and patients, Amsterdam UMC is investigating the use of Automated Dispensing System Cabinets (ADSKasten) in the nursing department.
