In the context of the project in question, maintenance and restoration works will be carried out on existing anti-flood works on the river Alfeio P.E. Ilias. The works will include the following:
•Maintenance and rehabilitation of existing flood protection works in specific locations.
•Removal cleaningremoval of vegetation, transportable materials and waste along the bed in the above positions.
•Cleaning techniques of vegetation, transportable materials and waste, where they exist in the above positions.
•Rehabilitation of drainage networks from pipes of various cross-sections and in particular at the junction of the Selinoundas with thethe drainage network.
•Installation of non-return anti-flood valves in various positions of the drainage network to avoid the reverse flow of water from the river to the plots in flood conditions - raising the river level.
