General Procurement Notice for LED Luminaries and Other Street Lighting Equipment (Tranche C).

General Procurement Notice

This is an update of the original notice.

The Municipality of Gyumri intends using the proceeds of a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the “Bank” or “EBRD”) and grants from the EBRD Shareholder Special Fund (“SSF”) and Eastern Europe Energy Efficiency and Environmental Partnership (“E5P”) for a project to rehabilitate the main roads and modernise street lighting in Gyumri. The proposed project, which has a total estimated cost of EUR 14 million equivalent, will require the procurement of the goods, works and services.

Tendering for the above contracts is expected to begin in the Q1 2019.

Contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from the Bank and grants from SSF and E5P will be subject to the EBRD Procurement Policies and Rules and will be open to firms from any country. The proceeds of the Bank`s loan and SSF and E5P grants will not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, of for any import of goods, if such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations or under a law of official regulation of the Purchaser`s country.
