Description : The California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) is mandated to protect the health, safety and welfare of professional boxers, amateur boxers, kick boxers, and mixed martial arts competitors. It is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the sport while acting in the best interest of the public and the participants. In addition to this protection, section 18649 of the Business and Professions Code authorizes the CSAC to conduct testing to detect the presence of any prohibited substances specified in the Prohibited List of the World Anti-Doping Code, as adopted by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). The Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA)/ California State Athletic Commission, is soliciting bids from qualified bidders to provide WADA-certified standard and specialty testing for drugs of abuse, anabolic steroids, diuretics, stimulants, beta-2 antagonists, erythropoietin, carbon isotope ratio, peptide and growth hormones, as well as reporting and expert consultation as specified in this Invitation for Bid (IFB).
